Xinhua News Agency reported that a study conducted by the University of Pennsylvania in the United States showed that electrolyzing cows with water (i.e. electrolyzed antioxidant neutral water) can increase milk production and increase the fat content in milk.
Researchers divided a group of cows into two groups, giving one group electrolyzed water and the other group regular water. After a 12 week experiment, the results showed a significant increase in milk production for the first group of cows, with an increase in fat content and a decrease in urea nitrogen content in the milk.
Researchers point out that the electrolysis process is beneficial for promoting the acid-base balance of drinking water and improving its antioxidant properties. After testing the blood of the two groups of cows participating in the experiment, it was found that the cows who drank water for electrolysis had a higher acid-base balance in their blood.
Scientists believe that cows that drink water electrolysis have more active and efficient peristalsis in their rumen (the anterior stomach of ruminants), which can also explain why the fat content in the produced milk increases.
