Application of acidified water in agriculture

China is a large agricultural country, and agricultural production is related to the national economy and people's livelihood, occupying a very important position in the national economy. At present, pesticides widely used in agricultural production generate a large amount of harmful waste during the production process, polluting the environment. They also leave harmful residues on agricultural products and soil during use. Repeated use not only reduces soil quality and disrupts ecological balance, but also damages the skin and respiratory system of workers. In order to produce green products that do not pollute the environment and meet the requirements of consumer development trends, we should vigorously promote the high-tech equipment of acidified water, which has both pesticide sterilization effect and no harmful chemical residues.

1、 The main application scope with positive effects

1. The transformation of alkaline soil or the adjustment of soil balance in the cultivation of alkaline soil crops.

Alkaline soil accounts for a considerable proportion of arable land in China There are large areas of alkaline soil cultivated land in provinces and regions such as Songliao, Huang Huai Hai Plain, Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, etc Due to the influence of soil conditions, the yield of crops cultivated in alkaline soil is very low Strong acidic electrolyzed water can effectively improve alkaline soil and enhance soil fertility.

2. Sterilization treatment of crops.

The experimental results indicate that acidified water with an effective chloride ion concentration of 10ppm can kill all ribonucleic acid microorganisms within 10 seconds. The killing test of food poisoning bacteria and spoilage bacteria showed that 23 out of 28 tested colonies completely died within 10 seconds of contact with acidified water, and 2 bacteria died after 1 minute of contact. After 30 minutes of immersion, only the green mold was not killed among the remaining Bacillus subtilis, Penicillium, and Penicillium. Therefore, in most cases, when using acidified water for sterilization, it is not necessary to soak and clean for a long time, and the flushing method can be used instead.

3. Anti mold and fresh-keeping treatment of agricultural and sideline products.

4. Food safety management in the production and processing of agricultural and sideline products mainly involves disinfection and sterilization of the production environment, equipment, and products.

Many factories use acidified water to clean and disinfect employees' fingers, work clothes, equipment, containers, pipeline floors, walls, etc. when implementing the HACCP hygiene management mode. If the cleanliness of the target object is too poor, surface dirt should be removed as much as possible and the cleaning water volume and time should be increased. When there are many organic attachments or uneven surfaces to be cleaned, washing with strong alkaline acidic water first and then sterilizing with strong acidic acidic water can significantly increase the sterilization effect. However, acidic water has a corrosive effect on metals, so it is required that the cleaned material be made of stainless steel (fortunately, most food machinery is made of stainless steel), and the structure should be as flat as possible to prevent the accumulation of acidic water.

5. Degradation of pesticides in agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables.

Remove the surface of fruits and vegetables and some pesticides and fertilizers that enter the interior of fruits and vegetables, kill bacteria, fungi, and pathogens that are difficult to treat on the surface of fruits and vegetables, extend the preservation time, and ensure the green and safe appearance of fruits and vegetables.

6. Environmental disinfection of breeding farms and management of drinking water safety for livestock and animals.

In pig and chicken farms, acidified water is often used to wash the ground for the purpose of sterilization and disease prevention. Due to the accumulation of organic matter on the ground of aquaculture farms, a larger flow of acidified water can be used for flushing. The experimental results show that compared with rinsing with ordinary tap water, the residual bacterial count on the ground treated with strongly acidic acidified water with a pH value of 5.5 is 1/30-1/60 of the former, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases.

The sterilization and disinfection of drinking water can be carried out using disinfectants without drug residues, and using ozone water generation equipment is not feasible. Because the water flow rate is very low in the nipple drinking water system, it is not suitable for the dissolution of ozone. An acid-base water generator can also be used to electrolyze drinking water into acidic or alkaline water and supply it to chickens. This type of water is different from adding chemical acids or bases, as it does not produce additional chemical pollution. This product was used in the former Soviet Union and has been developed by domestic companies. Its water sterilization and disinfection effect is very ideal.

2、 Scope of application in research and exploration

1. Replace the insecticidal and insecticidal effects of some pesticides.

The use of acidified water in crop cultivation can achieve pesticide reduction or even pesticide free cultivation to a certain extent. The experimental results from Japan, South Korea, and ourselves all indicate that, as long as applied properly, acidified water has a significant preventive effect on powdery mildew in cucumbers, strawberries, and tomatoes. It should be noted that because acidified water must come into contact with bacteria to kill them, and most plant diseases have already penetrated deep into the tissues once they occur, spraying acidified water cannot kill the pathogens inside the tissues. Therefore, spraying acidified water should be mainly aimed at preventing diseases and pests. However, the experimental results also showed that spraying acidified water or adding acidified water to nutrient solution without cultivation may increase the activity of plants themselves, enhance their resistance to pests and diseases, and reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases.

2. Used for soaking plant seeds, it can increase germination rate.

Through our soaking experiments on cucumber, tomato and other plant seeds, we observed that the germination rate of soaked plant seeds increased by 60%, and the young plants were robust, healthy and had a high survival rate.
